What an incredible day being Chris & Vicky’s photographer at their Thornton Manor wedding. A beautiful summer’s day (although a little windy), a stunning Suzanne Neville dress, the original Three Singing Waiters and The Rush performing in the evening to nearly 200 wedding guests.
Weddings at Thornton Manor
One of Cheshire’s premier wedding venues set on the Wirral, first built in the middle of the 19th Century. With its spacious grounds and numerous rooms and halls to choose from to get married, it is the perfect place to get married and to be a Thornton manor wedding photographer. Shooting her is just a dream, I can’t believe I get to use a camera for a living.
Chris & Vicky’s day started with Vicky getting ready in the bridal suite with all the girls, including three adorable flower girls. With the ceremony room filled with guests, the dining room is the perfect setting. Vicky entered through the front doors after walking through the spectacular lime trees. This has got to be one of the best entrances in the north west – what a great wedding venue Thornton Manor is.
After the ceremony it was out onto the patio and lawn for drinks and canapes and a splatting of confetti. Music ace Jennie Sawdon played and sang for the guests. It was such a relaxed and enjoyable reception. It was then into the main hall for the meal. Unknown to the wedding guests, they were being surprised by The Three Singing Waiters, who are the original singing waiters. I do love it when entertainment is put on during the meal as it makes such great wedding photos of everyone having fun. This was certainly a wedding to remember. My style of creative documentary photography is perfect for making best use of the incredible light that comes from the large windows. The grounds and it’s flowers, at any time of year, are the most incredible backdrops for photography.

Then as the evening arrived, The Rush performed and we all agreed it was one of the busiest dance floors we have ever seen. At no stage during the night was there fewer than 50 people giving it their all. Adam Carr, wedding DJ, ensured everyone had the best night. What an incredible day being a Thornton Manor wedding photographer, and I am very much looking forward to returning soon. Below is a gallery of just a few photos from their wedding.

My style of photography is all about capturing moments as they happen for real, with no posing at all. Only when a wedding is photographed in this way do you get a true sense of what the wedding was like. A big thank you to Herve Gillet for assisting on this wedding.
