I’m not even sure where to even begin to talk about the photography at this wedding at Merrydale Manor. Rachel and Mikey had a Jewish wedding at this popular venue in Cheshire. I had gotten to know this brilliant couple after having photographed some of their friends weddings over the previous few years. Situated close to Peover, Merrydale Manor is now one of my new favourite places to photograph a wedding.

Wedding Photography For Couples Who LOVE Photos, But HATE To Be Posed.
Merrydale Manor is a relatively new venue, opened after being renovated in 2017. Since that time it has hosted some of Cheshire’s best weddings. Rachel and Mikey’s wedding was no different at all. Mikey got ready at his parents house a few miles away, however the bride Rachel used the bridal suite situation at the back of the manor. The morning was shared with her bridesmaids and her parents who had a good laugh and started to celebrate the day early. What makes it an even more privilege to be than their photographer than normal, is that Rachel herself is a wedding planner: Rachel Flax Events. Her own wedding was planned excellently which made my life as a professional photographer an easy one.
Merrydale Manor – The Perfect Venue
It was great working with good friend and wedding videographer Stefan from YSD Media. No questionably one of the best videographers around who works in a relaxed composed style like myself. Merrydale Manor is the perfect place for a wedding because of the multiple locations it offers. The bridal suite is huge offering plenty of room to get ready and put your wedding dress on. As far as I am aware, this wedding was the first time the ceremony was held outside in the manor’s courtyard. Usually by law a wedding must take place inside a licensed premises, but as this was a Jewish wedding it was able to be held outside. The weather was stunning, so were the grand floral arrangements. It couldn’t have looked more stunning for the photos. A bit of a treat as a wedding photographer at Merrydale Manor, as it was so easy to compose and take great looking frames. The backdrop in the light was superb. It was hard to take a bad photo actually.

The wedding was so enjoyable to be part of. Huge congrats to Rachel and Mikey on their wedding at Merrydale Manor. A massive thank you to Steven Rooney for second shooting this wedding. A second shooter is essential for Jewish wedding, because of all the different aspects happening simultaneously like the ceremony. Therefore good friend and ace photographer Steven Rooney came too.
