Normanton Church Wedding Ceremony

We are so lucky to have such a stunning wedding ceremony venue in the UK. Set on the banks of Rutland Water, not far from where I grew up is Normanton Church. Just look at it! Rescued from the flood water when the nearby village was dank in water to create Europe’s biggest reservoir. With water all around it and just a small path leading to it just wide enough for the wedding car, this has got to be the most stunning ceremony location in the UK.

Wedding Photographer at Normanton

Claire and Tom saw the venue when competing in a triathlon and thought that Normanton Church would be the perfect wedding venue for them. The day started in the nearby town of Stamford, before the ceremony in Normanton Church. It makes my life as a wedding photographer so easy to take such nice photos. The great weather on the day helped too. After the fun and emotional ceremony, all the guests piled outside to congratulate the couple before heading to the William Cecil for the reception. With so many angles that stood out to capture this, I ran and ran around trying to find the best. I have to say I loved being a wedding photographer to Normanton Church in Leicestershire.

Normanton Church, perched on Rutland Water’s serene edge, offers a breathtaking backdrop for wedding photography. Its unique setting, a historic church partially surrounded by water, creates a romantic, ethereal ambiance perfect for capturing timeless memories. The blend of striking architecture and natural beauty provides diverse photo opportunities, from dramatic lake reflections to intimate moments on its picturesque grounds. The soft, natural lighting of the lakeside enhances the quality of Normanton Church photos, while the church’s iconic silhouette adds a touch of grandeur. Normanton Church is a photographer’s dream, combining history, charm, and stunning scenery to create enchanting wedding albums that couples cherish forever.

Fun, Games and Beer Pong

With great weather the day continued with lawn games. Lots of fun with drinks and DIY champagne. Beer Pong seamed the most popular game – for good reason. Pitcher after pitcher of beer was drank. What a great day to be part of. A huge and massive thanks to Tom and Claire for inviting me to be part of their special wedding day at the church. It was a joy being part of it all and I hope you love your photographs.

If you are looking for a Normanton Church wedding photographer, or any other wedding in the area please get in touch. I am based up north but travel the length and breadth of the UK photographing weddings. My parents still live in Stamford so their are no additional travel charges for this area.
