Travelling just 30 minutes south from me to be a Heaton House Farm wedding photographer is one of those special privileges I have had a few times now. It was an honour to be asked my Will and Harriet to photograph their special day.

This venue, situated on the Cheshire and Staffordshire border is different to most. It is still a working farm. Much of the farm has been converted to host special events and weddings, but it the farm aspect that gives it that special something. A converted farm house barn dressed for weddings

Heaton House Farm is made from a converted barn is dressed beautifully to host wedding ceremonies. There are several areas that can be used to say nuptials, including outdoor ceremonies. All the spaces are picturesque and a joy to work in as a professional wedding photographer. Heaton House Farm has it all. After you have said your ‘I do’s’ then you can have your drinks reception, or cocktail hour, in another barn. What makes Heaton House Farm so famous amongst suppliers though, is the tree at the top of the hill on the lawn. This tree has been used by film makers for years to create stunning imagery. My style of photography is entirely unposed. So if a newly married couple choose to go for a walk up toward the tree then I would document this. For Will and Harriet this was a little different, as Harriet’s dad carried her over his shoulder which just made for unique and interesting images.

Sunsets – A wedding photographer’s dream at Heaton House Farm

As a wedding photographer, at Heaton House Farm, or any other venue, you pray for a glorious sunset. The golden light it creates adds something special to the images, making them vibrant, punchy and full of contrast. At this wedding it was no different. Right over the hills to the west of Heaton House Farm the sun was beaming over everyone. This, combined with the dark sky’s overhead, this created some great ones akin to low-key photography. Camera in my hand, I was spoilt for choice to capture so many special moments. This is what stood out from this celebration the most.

Having Groovy Revolution along for the evening party was incredible! Being a wedding photographer at Heaton House Farm was just fantastic. Big thank you to Tom Aizenberg who shadowed me at this celebration as part of my mentoring and training programmes.

Unposed Style of photography around the Farm

My style of wedding photography at Heaton House Farm is different to most. The style I adopt is almost entirely unposed. This means I wont tell you what to do, I wont stop you, I wont pose you at all. I watch, I listen and I observe everything that is going on at your day and tell this story through my camera. Because I photograph in this way, it means you get to enjoy every second of your wedding without being bothered by your photographer. Just enjoy your day, forget about me, and love every second.
