Statham Lodge Wedding Photographer | Chris & Anna

Scroll

I was thrilled when Anna and Chris asked me to be their Statham Lodge wedding photographer. It is one of my local venues, only a short drive from my house into Cheshire. I started with the groom at their house a couple of miles away. He and his groomsmen, along with the father’s all got ready into their wedding suits. As part of all wedding photography packages I am able to cover both groom and bridal preparations shooting solo.

Leaving the groomsmen at the house, I then headed to Statham Lodge were the rest of the wedding day took place. Anna and her bridesmaids all got ready in the bridal suit which is just beautiful and perfect to have their wedding hair and make-up. Anna hung her dress up in the room which looked great. I love photographing at the lodge because the large windows let huge amounts of natural light flood the rooms. This makes photos look soft and beautiful. All I then need to do is combine this with composition and moment and I would have captured something stunning.

Gazebo Wedding at the Lodge

The newlyweds opted for an outside ceremony under the gazebo. The sun was out and the colours where bright. During the wedding ceremony they had an unexpected guest – a local cat came and joined the guests during the vows. The drinks reception was held outside also, and Anna and Chris went for a walk together around the grounds for some portraits. The wedding breakfast then took place. There were some emotional speeches, a shot, and then the rest of the wedding day continued. The dance floor was set-up, and the band played all evening. The couple decided to place a padlock on the railings in the garden as a memento to their wedding.
