“Thank you so much for the wedding photos – we are absolutely thrilled with them!! There are so many great shots of the day!’ – Tom & Anna
I was so excited for Tom & Anna’s wedding after meeting them. Anna is Polish and I was looking forward to seeing the Polish twist on the day. They were also having their wedding reception at Cheshire’s Mere Court Hotel where I have been before and know and love… certainly one of my favourite wedding venues. Half way through the preparations it started to rain, and it didn’t stop, at all, it was just one of those days. Considered lucky by many, but not what most couples hope for. However, after seeing brides in the past let the weather get them down and ruin their day, I actually felt kinda proud of Tom and Anna for absolutely not letting it one bit… scroll through to see their Mere Court wedding photography…
The church where they got married before going to Mere Court for their wedding was the Polish RC church of Devine Mercy in Manchester. The weather by this point was quite bad but it was still fun to see all the guests arriving under umbrellas and in good spirits. I worked very quickly, as although my camera gear is somewhat water proof, water on the glass of my lenses makes photographs very blurry, so I had to be careful.
Mere Court hotel is one of Cheshire’s premier wedding venues and I love taking wedding photographs here, rain or shine. The grounds are stunning, but so is the inside. A cosey bbar area makes it great for rainy days or winter weddings, but what I like most is the conservatory where the wedding breakfast is held. So much light, makes the room bright and cheerful, and the conservatory is also overlooking the pond. Mere Court Hotel wedding photography at its best.
Whilst the rain was pouring down we decided to make use of some of the inside spaces for photos of Tom and Anna together. I particularly like the black and white shots here.
I think this must be one of my favourite Mere Court wedding photographs of all time.
A massive well done to Tom and Anna for venturing out into the rain for some photos later in the day. When the rain settled a little they even put the umbrella down 🙂
