This was my first wedding at The Lowry Theatre and had been looking forward to photographing it for a while. I started the day at Louise and Adam’s new house in Bolton where Louise and all the girls were getting ready. After some tears when Louise’s brother saw her in her dress for the first time, we headed over to The Lowry Theatre for their wedding. Adam and the boys waited nervously as guests battled through the downpour of rain, which didn’t stop all day. After their emotional ceremony the celebrations started. I was pleased Louise and Adam agreed to brave the bad weather and head outside for their photos together by Salford Quays. With an abundance of strong architectural lines to feature in the photos this made for a fun 15 minute session. My favourite shot is the one taken after we had finished and they’re walking back over the bridge, amongst the general public. It’s a wide shot and incorporates them, the setting and the mood of the weather – keep an eye out for it below.
During the meal they asked the incredible singer Paul Guard (http://www.paulguard.com/) to entertain their guests. Paul get’s every one involved getting the hen and stag parties up at the front joining in. Later into the evening Louise and Adam had top north west DJ Andy Murphy (http://www.andymurphydj.co.uk/). Louise and Adam wanted a good party so it was essential for them to hire a DJ who played exactly what they wanted. Later into the night Louise surprised Adam with a set by the Ibiza house music DJ Davos.
What a wedding! I thoroughly enjoyed my first Lowry Theatre wedding and looking forward to my next later this year.
