Are you looking for a photographer for your Lake District proposal?

I’m an award winning photographer and it has been my pleasure to photograph many proposals in and around the Lakes over the years. To date I have photographed over 100 proposals and loved every single one. Below will hopefully give you some ideas of the the most beautiful spot to propose, and if you are looking to have it photographed then I would love to hear from you. Best Location to Propose in the Lake District

Set in the heart of the Langdales – Blea Tarn is one of my favourite spots anywhere in the world. This small Lake or Tarn is far enough away from some of the hectic hustle and bustle of the Lake District. Assuming you are looking to propose more privatley, then this could be the perfect location for you. This location has it all, firstly with a car park very close by, but the picturesque scenery is the main draw. With the tarn immediately behind you, and beyond that the grandeur of the Langdale fells makes this one of the ideally spots to bend down on one knee.

Other fantastic proposal locations: Windermere, Loweswater, Coniston Water, Grassmere, Ullswater and Tarn Hows.

Let’s start with the story of Tim and Robyn.

All the proposals below where taken without the person being proposed to knowing I was there. I don’t hide in a bush as many have asked me, but just chill on the grass, or path, and act like any other Lake District goer. My camera is in my hand ready for the moment. Tim and Robyn’s story was different as Tim had pretended he had booked a ‘couples shoot’ for them whilst on holiday. So actually she knew I was around, and taking photos, before he proposed. Proposal and immediate reactions

This includes a full planning video call prior to the day to discuss the location, logistics and get everything figured out. I will arrive before the agreed time to ‘protect’ the spot, and photograph the proposal itself plus the hugs, kisses and joy afterwards.

Proposal plus 30 mins of couples photographs

As the title suggests, this is exactly as the proposal only package, but afterwards we will spend 30 minutes together getting some incredible Lake District photos with you both within around area of the proposal.

Proposal plus 90 minutes of couples photographs, over any locations

Again, exactly as it says on the tin, this would be photography of the proposal, then photos afterwards together for 90 minutes which can include any location within the time frame. The perfect option if you have another location you would like to visit for photos.

Mike & Sarah – December proposal near Elterwater (including a duck!)

Tom & Charlotte – Proposing half way up a mountain with views over Loweswater

I really enjoy helping people come up with the perfect plan to propose in the Lakes. However, Tom came to me with a very specific plan. He knew the location, he know the spot and the date was set. An hours walk around a Lake and half way up a mountain takes you to the stunning views you can see below. Of course Charlotte said YES!

Matthew & Suzanna – Proposal on a boat on Windermere

A boat trip on windermere was what Matthew and Suzanna did on one of their first ever dates. So Matthew decided to surprise her by hiring a boat for myself, and a boat for them early morning in the Lake District. After a longer than normal planning meeting to make sure the details were perfect, this proposal was one of the toughest but one of my favourite to date.
