Are you looking for a photographer for your Cooling Castle Barn wedding?
It seams so long ago Sarah and David asked me to be their Cooling Castle Barn wedding photographer in Kent last October. A 250 mile drive south, a comfortable hotel stay the night before and entire wedding day with some crazy folk.
One Castle – Three Barns
The entire day was held at the venue. The large gatehouse to the castle as you approach is a wedding backdrop everyone would love. There are three barn’s to Cooling Castle, just outside of Cooling, a quaint little country village a few miles north of Rochester. The Tithe or Great barn, the Fathom barn and the Heritage barn. Each has the own use and purpose from holding an indoor ceremony, to drinking at the bar, and enjoying their delicious cuisine for a wedding feast to remember. Sarah and the bridesmaids got ready in the newly built Moat House which is intended just for wedding preparations and it’s a joy to shoot in.
No additional travel costs for weddings in the Kent area as I have a local family base I stay with.
Hilarious Wedding Speeches to Photograph
The speeches were just hilarious! Sarah’s dad’s was moving and so was David’s, but the two best men sang several Disney songs with the words changed. Written so well and presented perfectly I nearly forgot to take a photo on occasion I was laughing that much.
What a wonderful day and I enjoyed every minute of travelling down to photograph Sarah and David’s wedding at Cooling Castle Barn. So many interesting nooks and crannies to feature in the images. Just a stunning backdrop to spend a day celebrating a marriage. I can’t wait to return to Cooling soon. A huge congratulations to Sarah and David, it’s been so great getting to know you both and I hope to see you again soon.
Cooling Castle Barn’s Outdoor Pavilion Ceremony
They opted for an outdoor ceremony in the garden pavilion. It was touch and go as it was quite a chilly autumn day but so pleased they did, it looked just beautiful. Every wedding is allocated a toastmaster for the day to help things run smoothly, and also assist the photographer on where possible like the family group photos. There is nothing not to love about this place.
After such a lovely ceremony it was then over to the barn for drinks, canapes and lots of time spent with friends and family. As I shoot in a documentary style, I don’t stop and pose all day but just leave you to enjoy your day. Natural moments caught are best and what evoke real memories in years to come.
