This was my second visit to the Saddleworth Hotel to photograph a wedding. On a cool but clear march day Lee and Leah had the most amazing wedding day. leaj got read at a hotel nearby and Anthony the owner drove her to the wedding venue in his Rolls Royce – what a stunning car! This was only the beginning of the day’s special moments. During the emotional, and funny wedding ceremony, an owl delivered the rings to the best man to everyone’s surprise. After the ceremony they were treated to a magician, to more owls when guests got to hold and a sweet table. This was an awesome Saddleworth Hotel wedding but more was to come…
Everyone headed outside to release doves, there is a sequence of 3 photographs below that ends with the doves flying off towards the sun – a must see! Then after 10 minutes of family group shots Lee and leah had some photos together in the grounds of The Saddleworth Hotel. When we went back into the hotel to see the breakfast room set-up, I couldn’t resist asking them if we could do a couple more using the reflection in the black marble floor. There is one above, but the best one of Leah on her own using the full reflection is below.
Lee and Leah’s wedding first dance wasn’t the usual first dance. After just 20 seconds of ‘normal first dance dancing, the hard house music broke out making their first dance last a total of 21 minutes!! wow! Of course everyone joined in and it was so much fun. So many great Saddleworth Hotel wedding photographs to be taken at this wonderful setting. Later into the night they had some awesome fireworks which finished off their wedding day nicely.
A massive congratulations to Lee and Leah and thank you for inviting me to photograph your Saddleworth Hotel wedding. I had so much fun and now looking forward to my next one.
