I was delighted when Ken & Sharon asked me to be their wedding photographer, and super excited that their wedding was going to be a little bit different. The day started and finished at their home, up in the hills outside of Glossop on the edge of the Peak District. This is where Sharon as well as her and Ken’s children got ready, but it was to be the scene of a really lovely and relaxed outdoor wedding reception later in the evening.
It was quite a drive over the hills to Chatsworth for their church ceremony. After the service they walked all of about 50 meters to Edensor Tea Cottage for drinks and the wedding breakfast. Weather was good and it was so relaxed and nice having all Ken and Sharon’s loved ones celebrating this special day. After the meal we headed to a view point over Chatsworth House for a short walk and photos and then it was back to the house.
Now, my garden is big enough for about five people and one of my two cats. Ken & Sharon had acres of land and all with incredible views. They had a marquee set-up, hay bails and fire pits, and the entire garden and land was decorated with jars of flowers and candles. This was the perfect relaxed wedding at home.
Here are just 50 photos from their relaxed wedding at home. A huge congratulations to Ken and Sharon.
