Pennard House Wedding Photography – Siobhan & Oli

Scroll

Set in the countryside of this family-owned, the quintessentially English, country estate of Pennard House, was Siobhan and Oli’s wedding. My job as a wedding photographer doesn’t get better than this. Pennard House is just beautiful. Not far from Shepton Mallet within the Somerset Countryside is this little gem of a venue. I was delighted Siobhan and Oli invited me down to capture their special wedding day. This old Georgian House, still lived in by the family, was the setting for this magical wedding. With it’s large garden’s and even a swimming lake, surrounded by tall trees I couldn’t have spent a better weekend anywhere else. Siobhan has been at a wedding of mine a couple of years earlier. and very much liked my natural style of shooting the day. This is exactly what they both wanted too. Just forget I am even there and enjoy every last second of it.

Natural Wedding Photos at Pennard House

The day started for me a few miles away with Oli and his family, before heading to Pennard House to see Siobhan and the girls for their preparations. The wedding ceremony and vows were said within one of the rooms – with great natural light coming streaming from the window this was the perfect setting to use a camera. Wedding photography here is something else. It was a cold day, but mulled cider and soup was at hand to warm everyone up. The sun was out though and creating a stunning backdrop to the photos and the day’s proceedings. For the evening reception it was over to the coach house for a DJ and Irish band celebrating Siobhan’s family, many of whom had come over from Ireland. There was even someone playing the spoons, I had never seen this before and really enjoyed it. I have tried since in my own kitchen and made a complete racket – no idea how he does it.

Being a wedding photographer at Pennard House was a total blast. I can’t wait to come down south again to this romantic setting. Such a luxury wedding venue Pennard House is. What a special wedding Siobhan and Oli had and I wish them all the happiness in the world for the rest of their married lives.

For couples who want a high-standard of wedding photography, and LOVE the idea of NOT posing for the camera.
