Are you looking for a photographer for your Irnham Hall wedding?
I couldn’t have been happier when my old work friends Ed and Laura asked me down to South Lincolnshire to photograph their special wedding day ending with the most amazing event at Irnham Hall. In the middle of August you might expect the weather to be good, well it was for a while, but there was some torrential downpours. Church ceremony, followed by afternoon tea at the family home, then onto one of the areas premier wedding venues. A brilliant wedding to be part of.

Bridal Wedding Preparations
The day actually started a few miles away from Irnham Hall at Stoke Rochford Hall a few miles away where Laura and her bridesmaids got ready. A nice peaceful morning. Laura looked just stunning in her wedding dress. It was difficult to take bad images to be honest. A short drive away was the church in Corby Glen for the ceremony. Afterwards, and through a sea of confetti they walked down the hill to Ed’s family home for afternoon tea, and short marquee party. A nice twist and change of going straight onto the reception at Irnham Hall.

Rain and more rain at Irnham Hall
Rain. It rained! Not just a little bit, it was possibly the heaviest weather I have ever seen at a wedding. A great idea by the newlyweds to separate the boys and girls onto two separate coaches for travelling over, but both groups had to walk a reasonable distance to the reception, but through the torrential rain. My first time at Irnham Hall, but even though it was 3pm in August, with the clouds above the light was so low it was like shooting in near darkness. Staying inside the orangery was not an option for me. My camera is semi-waterproof so I headed out in the ‘storm’ to photograph frantic guests running from coach to hall. Something akin to animals escaping a chancing pack of lions I thought. It made great photos though!
Top wedding reception at Lincolnshire venue
Ed and Laura had some nice ideas for their wedding reception at Irnham Hall. For the breakfast each table had it’s own beef and a designated guests to serve everyone else on the table. I had never seen this before. After the meal, the skies above the suburb wedding venue cleared so Laura and Ed walked out in and around the grounds and walled garden for some natural and relaxed photos together. Some great locations and backdrops for capturing moments together. A joy being a wedding photographer at Irnham Hall. A massive thank you to Melissa Maloo for assisting me on the day.
A huge congratulations to Ed and Laura on their marriage, thank you for asking me to be part of your wedding and all the best for the future.
