I was genuinely looking forward to Ian & Anthea’s wedding, and rightfully so. One of the first things they told me was that they didn’t want a traditional wedding, they wanted a day where all their closest friends and family got together to have a great time. That is exactly what happened. They chose to have their city centre wedding at Manchester’s Great John Street Hotel, one of my favorutie venues. I particular like photographing city centre weddings because of all the shapes, shadows and interesting surroundings to feature in photos.
What an enjoyable day! I started with Ian at Barber Barber where Ian had a cut-throat razor shave, then I popped over to the hotel to get the girl’s preparations. Anthea wore a head-turner of a dress from FairyGothMother, complete with steel boned corset. Coupled with her Laboutin shoes, she looked incredible!
After a walk for city centre wedding photos, and some very funny speeches, it was party time. Award-winning DJ Andy Murphy led the way creating an incredible buzz on the dance-floor. What a top wedding – I loved every second of it. A huge congratulations to Ian & Anthea!
