Capesthorne Hall Wedding Photography | Nick & Joanna

A fantastic wedding at Capesthorne Hall in Cheshire. The wedding was a little different as the bride and groom where Lord and Lady of the Hall itself, their own venue. What an incredible venue this was too. So grand with so much space for the 200 guests they had. Well, they had the ceremony in their chapel but as there wasn’t huge amounts of room in this, half the guests watched the ceremony via video link in a hall in the main building.

Second Shooting a Wedding

It’s not very often I second shoot for other photographers, but I really loved this as there are little or no pressures to get anything specific and I could just do my own thing. I started with the groomsmen in the morning whilst the guests were arriving, and finished as the guests sat down for the wedding breakfast. Only a few hours but enjoyed photographing this wedding at Capesthorne Hall.

Joanna and Nick were just wonderful to work with on the day. So easy going and so close and loving to all their friends and family. People came from across the land to join them for their special day.

Champagne and Canapés

After the ceremony, the first of around 200 bottles of champagne were opened, along with some of the most incredible canapés I have ever eaten. Martin Hambleton did the family photos before the newly weds had a walk around their grounds and lake. The weather on the day, for April, was excellent with nice strong streaks of sun reaching across them and through the trees and building.

This certainly was a wedding to remember, and I’m looking forward to photographing my next wedding at Capesthorne Hall.

Capesthorne Chapel Ceremony Photos

Here are 60 photos that I took as a second shooter. 10 of which were taken from sitting on the same little spot on the floor of the chapel right at the back as there was so little room. Their dog fluffy walked over me about 6 times during the ceremony, but I latterly couldn’t move! Enjoy looking through.
