Wedding Photography at Rowton Castle

A winter wedding in a Castle? Could there be anything more inviting to capture and photography than this? Jenny and Mike got wed at this stunning West Midlands wedding venue. Being winter it was cold and windy outside, very blustery actually, but it was great we got outside for a few shots.

The bridal suite is a bit of a special room to get ready. So much space and the light that comes in from the main window is just beautiful. Photographing real moments and encapsulating this light is a real challenge as a wedding photographer, but the photos speak for themselves. Jenny and Mike’s two children were present at the wedding and running around like kids do. It was then time for the wedding ceremony in the main hall of the wedding venue. Filled with flowers, this warm feeling room was just perfect for them to say their vows. I totally loved photographing this Rowton Castle wedding.

After the ceremony, it was drinks, and this is when we headed out for a few shots. Still cold and blustery, but Jenny’s veil caught the wind creating all sorts of funky shapes. Aftre the speeches and wedding breakfast, the newly weds had hired Sam Fitton magician to entertain all the guests. With fire and card tricks,  could do nothing else but photo the reactions of all the impressed guests. What a top day at the Castle, I can’t wait to visit back and photograph another wedding here. Below is just a small sample of images from the day, showcasing some of my favourite memories from this wedding at Rowton Castle. Thank you to Melissa Maloo for assisting on the day.
