This was my first outing as a Nunsmere Hall wedding photographer. I was absolutely delighted that John and Diana asked me to photographer their special day this summer. With Di wearing an absolutely stunning dress by Suzanne Neville and a pair of Jimmy Choo shoes, this was going to be a wedding to remember.
Di and her bridesmaids got ready at The Mere Resort before having their wedding service at St Wilfrids RC Church in Northwich. The bridesmaids wore long purple chiffon dresses that worked so well with their subtle Scottish theme. Scottish Thistle was arranged within their bouquets. The flowers were by the very talented Emma Fawcett-Eustace of Cheshire. We all then headed deeper into Cheshire for their Nunsmere Hall wedding reception. The weather was always a little dubious and it was expected to rain later in the day. Just as we finished doing some small family group shots, the heavens opened and it poured down for around 5 minutes. John and Di were still outside at this time and had to dive under one of Nunsmere’s many garden arrangements while an usher sprinted off to fetch an umbrella. It was well worth myself waiting outside in the rain, for their return journey… see for yourself below.
Once the rain stopped it was time to get some relaxed photos of John and Di. As I said before, this was my first time as a Nunsmere Hall wedding photographer and I enjoyed exploring the beautiful grounds for subtle but pleasing backgrounds. I was asked to stay late into the night, so around 10:30pm at night when the light was low, I asked them to stand together in the doorway of the Hall for the shot you see above – possibly my favourite of the day.
What an incredible Nunsmere Hall wedding day, including a very fun Ceilidh Band in the evening. A huge congratulations to John and Di, I wish you both a life time of happiness. Thank you to Andy Keher for assisting me on this. I’m now looking forward to the next time I’m a Nunsmere Hall wedding photographer.
